Merry Christmas, everyone!! I hope you guys are all having a blast opening presents and spending time with family :)
Yesterday, we celebrated my 27th birthday. My 26th year was very good, so here’s to hoping 27 is just as great!
Chris took me to this awesome place in Asbury Park, NJ, called the Silverball Pinball Museum. Chris is a sucker for pinball machines (especially ones set to free play)– one time we were in Northern California, he took me to another pinball museum (Pacific Pinball Museum). I’m not a huge game player, but how could you not like free play pinball machines?! I got completely hooked, so when Chris mentioned going to Silverball for my birthday, I was totally on board.
I’ll start off with how we started off– with 2 chili dogs! Apparently I have the magical ability to eat a chili dog without spilling anything :P
And here we go! By the way, you’ll mostly see pictures of Chris because the ones he took are of me in such concentration that I look angry…I get way into games, haha. ;)
Lots of machines in very, very good condition.
The machine were were battling over was this 1959 Williams Pinch Hitter game. The “flippers” on each side controlled the pitch of the pinball and the bat. Your ball would fly across the baseball diamond and hit a single, double, triple, or out. Or it could catapult towards the back and get a home run. The little mechanical guys in the box under the scoreboard ran around another diamond, depending on what you hit. I think we spent about half our time at this machine…so addicting! (I’m also going to point out that I won with 12 home runs, woohoo!)
We had dinner plans with friends, so we left earlier than we wanted to…though we will definitely be back!
