Yes, I assumed since I was in the “Toro forum” that that was implied :-). It is a Toro PowerShift 1028. I assume I don’t have a transmission (?) since there’s no clutching? Just moving that shift lever from neutral over to the left for forward and/or reverse gears :-). I’ll check the friction wheel. Does anyone have a manual for this beast? The

I’m not sure if Powershift is all that viable today. Its complex, heavy, and seemingly clunky. Today’s modern snow threads are quite good with much better traction. As far as weight shift, I think tracked snowblower is more effective at this and a lot simpler.

I have a toro 824 powershift snowblower,when engageing the forward gears the snowblower goes reverse,all 4 forward gears.When put in both reverse gears they both work in reverse,I can shift in all gears but all are engaged in reverse no matter which gear selected.Adjusted the control cables to factory setting but made no differance,can’t figure this out.

351beno that i well know. your at least 100 miles away these guys by me simply don’t want to do warranty work unless they sell the machine. i’m outside the 15 mile by 2 miles, OH that’s outside the warranty max it will cost 100 bucks for both ways, the others are way far out more like 30 miles plus each way.

I have a toro 824 powershift snowblower,when engageing the forward gears the snowblower goes reverse,all 4 forward gears.When put in both reverse gears they both work in reverse,I can shift in all gears but all are engaged in reverse no matter which gear selected.Adjusted the control cables to factory setting but made no differance,can’t figure this out.

Yes, I assumed since I was in the “Toro forum” that that was implied :-). It is a Toro PowerShift 1028. I assume I don’t have a transmission (?) since there’s no clutching? Just moving that shift lever from neutral over to the left for forward and/or reverse gears :-). I’ll check the friction wheel. Does anyone have a manual for this beast? The
